Jonathan has competed and won prizes in numerous competitions around the country including the Texas State Solo and Ensemble Competition at UT Austin (2009), the Pueblo Keyboard Arts Festival (2011), the Colorado Yamaha Piano Competition (2011 & 2012), and most recently he earned second prize at the fourth annual New York Artist’s International Competition.
Dr. Reddix received his Bachelor of Music in piano at the Lamont School of Music in Denver in 2016 Under Steven Mayer, where he received the University’s award for outstanding piano recital in 2014 and 2015. In the 2015-2016 season, he performed Liszt’s Totentanz at the opening concert for the American Liszt Society’s annual festival and also performed at Lincoln Center as a laureate of the NYIAC. He completed his Master’s under Eteri Andjaparidze at NYU’s Steinhardt School in 2019, where he also served as an instructor in piano. He earned his Doctorate of Musical Arts in piano performance at Boston University’s College of Fine Arts in 2022 under Gila Goldstein and Pavel Nersessian where he also taught aural skills and group piano. When not at the piano, Jonathan can be found honing his cooking skills from the works of the great Julia Child!
Jonathan holds a piano faculty position at Kingsley Montessori School, and serves as a staff pianist for Longy School of Music at Bard College.
