Alexandru Prigalo

Born in the Republic of Moldova in Chisinau, Alexandru Prigalo started his residence in Boston from 2019, after completed his Master of Music performance in Boston University with Professor Pavel Nersessian.

As an active performer, he took part in many national and international competitions, such as, Carles & Sofia International Piano Competition — Golden Hands Award (2021), Richmond Piano Competition — Boston, United States of America, Special Prize for the Best Performance of a piece by a black composer (2021), Transylvanian International Piano Competition — Brasov, Romania, Second Prize (2018), National Competition-Festival "Delfiada — 2018" — Chisinau, Republic of Moldova, Golden Medal (2018); Finalist at Yamaha Scholarship Program 2016-2017 — Dubai, United Arab Emirates (2017); International Competition "Giovanni Musicisti — Citta di Treviso" — Treviso, Italy, Grand Prix (2016); International Piano Competition "PianoArtIs" — Iasi, Romania, First Prize (2016); Marina Yudina International Competition for Pianists — Sankt Petersburg, Russia, Third Prize (2015). Performed a recital at 2LifeCommunities: Brighton Campus (April 2019). Played with Philharmonic National Symphonic Orchestra of Chisinau, Organ Hall National Chamber Orchestra of Chisinau, National Symphonic Orchestra of Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic (2011, 2014 – 2015, 2017 – 2019).

Mr. Prigalo also active participant in masterclasses by Eduard Kunz, Hintaras Januševičius, Ludmila Kasjanenko, Alexander Paley, Marek Szlezer, Ian Hobson, Marina Lomazov. He collaborated and performed works by Moldavian composers like Vladimir Beleaev, Vlad Burlea, Ghenadie Ciobanu, Snejana Paslari, Alexander Timofeev, Vasiliy Medved.
